Floyd County Jail records indicated that 32 year old Irene Renee Barnette of Rome and Cecile Jo Ely of a Silver Creek address were booked on numerous drug charges.
Authorities say they discovered methamphetamine and a glass smoking device in their car, along with suspected Xanax and Klonopin pills not in their original container.
Both women were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine – and with two counts of felony possession of Schedule IV controlled substances in addition to the misdemeanor counts of possession and use of drug-related objects and drugs not kept in their original container.
Bond for Ely was set at $10,100 – meanwhile, Barnette was released on bond of $5,700.
