Accident On Highway 9 Shuts Down Causeway In Cedar Bluff

Traffic was backed up on the Causeway in Cedar Bluff near the bridge for well over two hours on Friday as law enforcement and firefighters worked to clear a minor two vehicle accident.

According to reports from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency the mishap took place at 3:40 p.m. and involved a 2006 Ford driven by 46 year old Mary Anderson of Gaylesville and a 2015 Chevy pickup truck driven by 33 year old Thomas Miller of Ashville.

Neither of the drivers was injured in the wreck; however traffic was backed up for at least two hours as state troopers conducted an investigation and filled out reports.

The Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Departments also responded to the scene.
