Accused Killer May Go to Trial on Halloween Day

mckinney-2Sixty year old Terry Lee McKinney of Cedar Bluff, accused of murdering and dismembering another Cedar Bluff man in March of 2015 – may go to trial on October 31st, Halloween Day, this year.

McKinney was arrested March 29th that year, charged with killing 63 year old Leroy “Pete” Foster, who sometimes worked as a “handyman” around the area.

He was taken into custody in the wake of body parts being found alongside County Road 82

It’s believed that the body of Pete Foster was dismembered by McKinney through the use of a chainsaw.  Foster had been reported missing by family members, prior to discovery of the body parts.

A search warrant executed at the residence of McKinney, turned up a number of items, with evidence indicating the presence of blood and tissue belonging to the victim.
