An up and coming Country Music star was Jerry Baker’s special guest in the WEIS Radio Studios Thursday morning.

Adrianna Freeman is a native of Tallahassee, Florida.

Her big break in Country Music came after meeting Alabama’s Teddy Gentry.

After hearing some of her demo recordings, Teddy invited Adrianna to sing on “Teddy Gentry’s Best New Nashville,” a compilation album featuring up-and-coming artists, which he was producing for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. Adrianna recorded her song “Run Baby Run” for that project.

Freeman has been singing most of her life.

At the age of 8, Adrianna began singing in church and at her family’s produce market, to the delight and applause of customers. Increasingly, she dreamed of becoming a professional country singer.

After graduation, she moved to Nashville to pursue her dream.

Her debut album was released last year and made a big splash in England.

Her latest single is titled “Just A Girl” which is the official theme song of the National Network for Youth, the nation’s leading network of homeless and runaway youth programs.

Freeman plans to include the song on a new EP to be released later this year.
