Airlines Add Tool to Fight Overheating Phones

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Airlines are taking precautions to protect flyers from overheating phones after reports of Samsung phones catching fire on planes.

Delta has announced that they will carry fire containment bags on board planes to help prevent in-flight fires. Virgin America and Alaska Airlines are also putting the bags on flights. The bags can withstand temperatures up to 3,200 degrees.
