Alabama to Play FREE Concert in Ft Payne this Sunday

Country music supergroup Alabama will be playing a FREE concert in Ft Payne this Sunday – as part of Fan Appreciation Week.

It’ll be the first time that the band has played an official concert in Ft Payne, since the final June Jam back in 1996.

The concert will kick-off at 2:00pm in the Fan Club parking lot, and city officials are expecting a turnout of anywhere between 5,000 and 8,000 fans for the big event – which is designed to raise money for those in need in DeKalb County.

On the day of the show the South Y will be shut down with traffic being diverted at McDonald’s up Grand Avenue down to the Opera block at 5th Street North.

There will also be a Fan Daze Concert featuring Jeff Cook and the All- Star Goodtime Band – on Friday night (June 13th) at the DeKalb Theater; a Teddy Gentry & Rockit City “Singing with the Stars” event this Thursday night at Northeast Alabama Community College – and a Randy Owen “Fandemonium on the Farm” concert Saturday afternoon.
