A candlelight vigil was held Wednesday night (March 12th) – for a Gadsden man who was killed last weekend.
52 year old Gary Stokes was found on his front porch Saturday morning, March 8th after having suffered a fatal stab wound; Stokes resided in the 2900 block of Hartford Street and his body was found by a neighbor at around 8:00am.
It’s unclear at what time the stabbing actually occurred and authorities have yet to make an arrest in the case. ABC 33/40 is reporting that the family is offering a reward for information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
Gary Stokes funeral is set for this Saturday (March 15th) at 1:00pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gadsden.
