Alabama Code states you can go into Executive Session to discuss job performance, general reputation and character, physical condition, professional competence and mental health, including characteristics or actions of a person directly involving good or bad ethical conduct, moral turpitude or suspected criminal activity.

Following the Executive Session, the council approved the appointments of Sid Garrett, Jerry Culberson, Jeff Higgins, Jay Howell, Kelly Turner, Tommy Moon and Melvyn Salter to the committee, along with council members Johnson and Derrick Wheeler and Mayor Wilkie.

The all-volunteer committee will meet once a month and discuss possibilities for new recreational development and creating new streams of revenue for Centre.
