The Alabama Forestry Commission and the Cherokee County Forestry Planning Committee, in partnership with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will celebrate their annual Arbor Day tree giveaway this Wednesday (February 22nd), on the campus of Gadsden State Cherokee in Centre.
Simply drive around to the rear of the Cherokee Center and Arena, where the giveaway will be held from 12:00 noon – 2:00pm or until the last tree is gone.
The tree giveaway will include a variety of yard, shade and wildlife trees. You may want to bring along a large trash bag for transport along with pens and labels.
The Cherokee Rose Garden Club will also be providing assistance this year.
The event is sponsored by the Cherokee County Commission, City of Centre and Chamber of Commerce.
