The Cherokee County Public Library is pleased to welcome Shirley W. Mitchell as special guest speaker this week.

Ms. Mitchell is the owner of the Syndicated Media Groups – “Fabulous After 50” / “Sensational After 60” / and “Aging Outside the Box” and she’s highly recognized as one of today’s foremost writers and speakers on aging, senior lifestyle and the Baby Boomer generation with her primary mission being that of promoting “positive aging and vitality in health.”

Ms. Mitchell – a native of Guntersville, who grew up in nearby Albertville – was kind enough to spend some time with WEIS Radio recently – and during that interview she gave us some insight into how her writing developed, based upon her background – which included working in cotton fields
