A Boaz teenager involved in an automobile accident last Friday – passed away on Saturday, from injuries sustained in the single-vehicle wreck.

17 year old Christian Ogle was the passenger in a vehicle being driven by Cameron Wheeler, age 18 and also of Boaz, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment at around 2:30 Friday afternoon.

According to the Alabama State Trooper accident report that crash took place on Mountain View Drive, approximately five miles north of Attalla; a second passenger, age 15, was also injured in that wreck and was transported to Huntsville Hospital with Ogle.  Wheeler was taken to Gadsden Regional for treatment.

No additional information regarding the condition of either Wheeler, or the 15 year old, has been released.

The accident report indicated that Ogle wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
