The body recovered Monday in Langston is believed to be that of a missing teenager from Guntersville.
15 year old Jason Richards went missing February 8th – he was last seen in the parking lot of Zaxby’s in Guntersville; authorities said the body was found after information regarding the location was uncovered during the course of the investigation.
The investigation into Richards’ disappearance is on-going, and police are saying they have not ruled out homicide:
The office of Governor Robert Bentley issued a $5,000 reward in April for any information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in the case.
The cause of death has yet to be determined; results from the forensics lab in Huntsville are expected to reveal the manner of death and provide a positive ID.
