Body Found in Etowah County is Believed to Be That of Missing 23 Year Old

Clifton MissingEtowah County authorities have confirmed that a body was found Wednesday afternoon on property in the Black Bottom Road area of Boaz, around 5:30.

According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, that body, which was discovered inside Etowah County, will be sent to Huntsville for an autopsy and positive identification.  

He added that they do have reason to believe that this may be in connection with the recent case of 23 year old Wesley Adam Clifton, who has been missing for just over a week.

Authorities located Clifton’s 1995 red Honda Accord in a wooded area near the intersection of Cove Springs and Little Cove Road.

Authorities said that two persons of interest, who were reportedly acquainted with Clifton – are currently in custody.
