Bogus Bills Make an Unwelcome Return to Rome on Sunday

Counterfeit Money 3Funny money has returned to Rome where two individuals allegedly attempted to pass the bogus bills at two different fast-food restaurants during the early morning hours of Sunday.

According to reports a man and woman paid for a meal at the Shorter Avenue Waffle House using a fake $20 bill around 1:00am; and just after 2:30am police were called to the Krystal on Shorter Avenue, where the couple attempted to pay for a milkshake using a phony $100 dollar bill.

Several eyewitnesses said they had seen the couple before – and gave the officers potential names for the suspects.

The investigation into the matter is on-going.
