Bomb Threat at Gadsden Middle School

Students of Gadsden Middle School were evacuated for approximately three hours Wednesday afternoon following a bomb threat.

Gadsden Police Captain Bobby Jackson, said that law enforcement personnel and school officials immediately moved to secure the school, and evacuated the students to a nearby facility for their safety.

A sweep of the school was conducted using bomb-sniffing dogs; an “all-clear” was issued a short time later.

Students were told not to return to school until Thursday morning.

The investigation into the matter continues.
