Bomb Threat Leads to Evacuation of Trion City Schools on Monday

Chattooga County authorities are still investigating a bomb scare that forced the evacuation of Trion City Schools on Monday.

Trion City Schools Superintendent Phil Williams stated additional security measures have been put in place; he added that state testing had been set to begin on Monday, and both he and Trion City Police Chief Jason Kellett believe that may have been the reason behind that threat – and that the call was likely just a prank.

Police are still seeking to learn the identity of the person who issued the threat.
