Bond was set Tuesday for two individuals recently arrested in connection with the murder of a DeKalb County man.
In what Sheriff Jimmy Harris called “one of the most violent crimes” that he’s ever seen – 36 year old Michael Arnold Johnson of Fyffe, was killed last Saturday (October 11th) – with an assault rifle.
20 year old Ben Christopher McClure, is charged with the murder of Johnson at the victim’s home on County Road 578; he was given a $300,000 cash bond.
James Edward Wooten, age 36, stands charged with Hindering Prosecution – he was given a cash bond of $100,000.
The judge appointed attorneys for both men on Tuesday afternoon – and both McClure and Wooten remain in the DeKalb County Detention Center.
