A single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 9 North near Highway 35, at around 6:40am Monday.
That vehicle left the roadway, went onto a grassy embankment still wet with dew, and then slid into a small creek.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report the driver, identified as 51 year old Gina Hairrell of Crossville, was treated for minor injuries.
No word yet on what may have led to the driver leaving the road.
