An early morning vehicle fire off Ramsey Road in Summerville has been ruled a case of arson.
According to the Summerville News – 28 year old Christopher Lee Byars’, told investigators that he was awakened at around 4:00am by the sound of a car horn – and when he went outside to see what was wrong, he found his 2008 Nissan Sentra fully engulfed in flames.
According to sheriff’s office investigator Caroline Cobb, the state fire marshal said the fire began in the interior of the vehicle.
Samples of the liquid and materials used to start the blaze were collected, and have been sent to a lab for analysis.
