A Cave Spring man is facing a number of charges including kidnapping after reportedly abducting a woman at gunpoint.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 31-year old Randy Sam Cox Jr., of a Mary Mac Road address had been asked to leave the victim’s residence before he forced the woman into her car and pulled a gun on her.
The victim then drove Cox around for nearly six hours and sent repeated text messages saying she needed help.
Cox is additionally charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, pointing a gun at another, and terroristic threats and acts, simple assault and criminal trespass.
He remains jailed with bond yet to be set in the case.
