A 12 year old child riding a 4 wheeler has been seriously injured in an accident just west of Cave Spring.
According to Loyd Watkins of the Cave Spring Police Department, the 12 year old child, identified as Turner Youngblood of Cave Spring drove his 4 wheeler out into oncoming traffic and was struck by a white Toyota Prius with Alabama tags headed eastbound on Highway 411 near Jackson Chapel Road.
Officer Watkins says the child received “traumatic” injuries.
Youngblood was transported via LifeFlight to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, where his condition is not known at this time.
