Cedar Bluff Council Approves Liberty Day Budget

The Cedar Bluff Town Council Monday night approved the budget for this year’s Liberty Day celebration.

The budget is 24-thousand 168 dollars.

As of May 1st, just over 10-thousand had been raised.

Mayor Martha Baker said that she hopes it will not be as hot this year, as the heat kept many away last year.

In other action Monday, the council unanimously approved beer and wine licenses for Tony’s Pizza and Subs.

No one spoke for or against the application.

The council also approved a resolution to participate in the Sales Tax Holiday for Back to School items coming up the first weekend in August.

And Mayor Baker read a proclamation designating this month as “Older Americans Month.”
