Cedar Bluff Man Facing Multiple Charges After Floyd County Pursuit

robert-wayne-kingA Cherokee County man recently racked up a long list of charges in northwest Georgia.

Cedar Bluff resident Robert Wayne King, age 58 was arrested at the corner of Garden Lakes Boulevard and Woods Road in Rome following a chase with Floyd County Police.

According to the report, officers attempted to pull King over for a broken brake light and an improper tag when he fled.  During the pursuit King reportedly ran a stop sign and red light in addition to driving on the wrong side of the road.  He was clocked at 85 in a 40mph zone.

King was eventually placed under arrest and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and attempting to elude, speeding in excess of maximum limits, improper lane change, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, reckless driving, failure to obey traffic control devices, stop sign violation, no brake lights and giving false name address or date of birth to law enforcement officials.
