Cedar Bluff Mayor Tammy Crane Appointed To Serve On The Cedar Bluff Utility Board

Tammy-CraneThe Cedar Bluff Town Council has voted to appoint Cedar Bluff Mayor Tammy Crane to the Cedar Bluff Utilities Board to fill the unexpired term of former Chairman Ken Blair who recently resigned due to personal and health reasons.

Cranes first meeting with the board is scheduled for Tuesday February 16th.

Also during that meeting the council received the monthly police department report for the month of January as well as the Utility Board minutes from their December meeting.

At the recommendation of Town Building Inspector Calvin Walling the council approved new forms for building inspections in addition to new re-inspection fees.

The council has agreed to contribute $500 to go toward the 2016 Youth Prevention Conference after hearing from Nancy Steed with CED Mental Health, the conference will be held later in March.

The council also approved the addition of two new firefighters pending the approval of a background check in addition to the approval of the purchase of tazers and batteries for the police department.
