Cedar Bluff School Receives $12,800 Check From Mayor Tammy Crane

Tammy&DewayneCedar Bluff Mayor Tammy Crane presented Cedar Bluff School with a check in the amount of $12,800 during Friday’s Cedar Bluff vs. Gaylesville Football game at LD Bruce Field.

The check was presented to Cedar Bluff High School Principal Dewayne Pierce and comes from twenty percent of the town’s alcohol sales tax.

Mayor Crane said that the education of the children in Cedar Bluff is essential and the Town is honored to be able to give back to the school and help support the future of the Town.

Crane went onto to say that the funding goes a long way toward supporting non academic expenses such as uniforms, equipment etc. The funds are equally divided between the various sports programs throughout the school

Each year the Town earmarks twenty percent of the Alcohol Sales Tax to be distributed to Cedar Bluff School.
