Cedar Bluff Utilities Board Meeting

It was a brief meeting of the Cedar Bluff Utilities Board on Tuesday.

Board members approved the Financial Reports for the months of January and February – some brief discussion was given regarding a lot owned by the Utility Board on the corner of Spring Street and Main Street.

Board Chairman Ken Blair said that the Town had made an offer to the Utility Board to purchase the property in the amount $7,500 – with two board members not present at the meeting any further discussion on the issue was tabled until a full quorum was present.

Board Member Norman Burton who is also a Town Council Member noted that the town’s intentions for acquiring the lot was to construct a parking lot in order to provide additional parking for events held at the town park – Burton also stated that if the town was able to get the property it could spark some additional business in the near future.

Under new business the board unanimously voted to give Manager Jeff Harrell the authorization to start getting bids for a fence that will complete encompass a stretch of property around the pond at the lagoons.
