A Cherokee County woman, and a two year old child – were hurt in a single vehicle accident on Sunday evening.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report stated that the accident, involving a 2005 Mercedes occurred on Highway 273 near Leesburg at 6:55pm – resulting in injuries to the driver, 25 year old Sara Edwards of Cedar Bluff, and the small child.
According to that report, Edwards was wearing her seat belt; however the two year old was not in a child-restraint seat.
The cause of that wreck remains under investigation by state troopers.
