A Cedartown Georgia woman will testify against her co-defendant in connection with the murder of a pizza delivery woman in June, 2012; Cadedra Lynn Cook will provide that testimony as part of a plea agreement.
Cook, who was 18 at the time of the slaying, has been sentenced to life in prison, with possibility of parole – as part of the agreement. District Attorney Jack Browning says she will be required to spend at least 30 years behind bars before she can be considered for parole.
Cook, and her then 15 year old boyfriend, stand accused of stabbing and bludgeoning 27 year old Elizabeth Hutcheson as she delivered a pizza to Cook’s Thompson Street home.
Cook was arrested the day following the attack and remains lodged in the Floyd County Jail.
The 15 year old will stand trial next February (2014).
