Centre Fire Department Wraps Up Christmas For Kids Campaign

CFK2For the last several years the Centre Fire Department has helped make the holidays a bit brighter for children and families across Cherokee County.

During their Christmas for Kids Toy Drive this year toys were dropped off at the Fire Station as well as the inside the Centre Wal-Mart and the Dollar General and all items distributed through the Toys for Tots organization.

Assistant Fire Chief Rickey Chambers says this is something that the department has done for several years and that every single toy collected will stay in Cherokee County to help the families and children in need.

Each year the Centre Fire Department collects toys for needy children in Cherokee County – and each year the need grows greater; you’re encouraged to take a few minutes to pick up a toy and then make a donation that’ll mean more to a child on Christmas Day than you could ever imagine.

If you would like more information on how you can help, you can call the Centre Fire Department at 256-927-3333.
