Centre Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Northwest Georgia

A Centre man was arrested in Rome Saturday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, 36-year old James Brent Morgan, of a County Road 19 address, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a syringe in the 1800 block of Burnett Ferry Road.  He allegedly abandoned the substance near the roadway, and refused to comply with orders given to him by officers.

Morgan was arrested and charged with the possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, abandonment of a controlled substance, and obstruction of officers.
