Two individuals were arrested after Hunting Club members contacted the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, and complained that someone had apparently been living inside their vehicle illegally on the property.
Deputies Money and Jolly responded to that location on County Road 45 and Frog Mountain Road, where they discovered Kristopher Corey Jackson, age 41 from Cedartown, Georgia and 37 year old Amanda Leann Link from Centre , living inside a makeshift tent.
According to Investigator Charles Clifton the couple are suspects in a number of burglaries.
Link was arrested on an active warrant for Fraudulent Use of Credit/ Debit Card.
Jackson attempted to flee, but was quickly caught. He was also arrested and charged with Attempting to Elude, Resisting Arrest, the Obstruction of Justice, and Giving a False Name to authorities.
The vehicle was impounded, and it soon determined that some of the property found inside had been stolen.
Jackson and Link were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just before 2:00pm, where they currently remain.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
