Centre Police Investigating Theft at Kerr’s Redi-Mix on Sunday Afternoon

Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship

Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship says his department is seeking assistance from the public in gathering information on a theft that took place at Kerr’s Redi-Mix Sunday afternoon.

Entry was gained to the inside of the structure after the suspects managed to pry away part of the metal building; once inside, they simply opened the roll up doors and drove in, where they loaded up the large tires used on the cement trucks taking around 20 new tires and 14 used – with a combined value of more than $9,200.  They also stole miscellaneous tools.

The thieves were bold, pulling the job in broad daylight, at around 5:30 that afternoon.

After reviewing the video surveillance it’s believed that a total of four people were involved in the operation, and that two trucks were used.

One truck, caught on camera, is believed to be either a late 90’s to early 2000’s model.
