A Cherokee County resident was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on the Chesnut Bypass Monday afternoon.
According to the Centre Police Department accident report the wreck occurred at the intersection of the Bypass and Armory Road near the Shell Mart just before 3:00pm.
43 year old Scott Ewing of Centre, driving a 2001 Ford Taurus, was injured in the mishap and he was transported by Cherokee EMS for treatment and the driver of the other vehicle, a 2008 GMC Acadia, identified as 58 year old Mike Casey of Steele, Alabama – was unhurt.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
