Centre Woman and One Other Charged with Trafficking Meth in Floyd County

Meth 3Two women have been charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, 27-year-old Barbara Chaska Morris of a County Road 555 residence in Centre, Alabama, and 34-year-old Jana Lynn Godfrey of a Berry Road residence in Cedartown were in possession of multiple bags of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

The meth totaled more than 28 grams.

Morris and Godfrey are charged with the possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute and trafficking meth.

Morris also allegedly gave officers a false name and date of birth, as well as allegedly had drugs without a valid prescription. She is additionally charged with giving a false name or date of birth, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and a probation violation.

Both Morris and Godfrey remain in the Floyd County Jail without bond.
