Each year the Cherokee County Alzheimer’s Support Group stages a number of events in order to help raise awareness of – and money for – research in the on-going battle against Alzheimer’s.
Margaret Eubanks and Jan Carr stopped by the WEIS Radio studios on Friday morning to share a little bit about what their organization does to assist those caring for loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dementia – and to share some information on upcoming fundraisers:
Other upcoming events include a Silent Auction on September 19th, and the 5k Fun Trail Walk/ Run at Cherokee Rock Village on September 27th.
For additional information on the Cherokee County Alzheimer’s Support Group – simply contact Margaret Eubanks at (256) 927-4307 or attend one of their meetings held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm – at the Cherokee County Health & Rehab Center’s Activity/Education Building in Centre.
