Cherokee Co. School Board Recognizes Centre Middle School Students

It was lengthy agenda for the Cherokee County Board of Education on Tuesday as they recognized several Centre Middle School Student Organizations.

The Centre Middle and Cherokee Co. High School Track Team participants, Centre Middle School Debate Warriors and Centre Middle Schools Beta Club State Winners were among those who received certificates from Centre Middle School Principal Marcia Sewell.

CMS Teacher Lee Bailey was also recognized after being selected as an Alabama Community Education Association Board Member.

In other business, the Board approved bills for payment, accepted the lowest bids for Google Management Console License which was awarded to OM Office Supply and approved and Educational Grant Application with Coosa Valley RC&D for a project at the Cherokee Co. High School Baseball Field.

Several Cherokee Co. Career & Tech School items including 23 Hydraulic Chairs, 5 Shampoo Chairs and 5 Dryers with Chairs were declared as surplus property and approved for sale.
