Cherokee County Board of Education Special Called Meeting Held Friday

During the Friday morning meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education – the Board accepted the resignation of Cherokee County High School English Teacher Jennifer Speigner – effective immediately (June 9th).

2017/2018 Certified Placements:

Garrett Crane as Math Teacher at Cedar Bluff School

Jim Nelson as General Science Teacher at Cedar Bluff School (pending certification)

2017/2018 Certified Transfers by Agreement:

Kelsey Hilliard from 3rd Grade Teacher to Kindergarten Teacher at Cedar Bluff School

Karen Bishop from Elementary Teacher at Centre Middle School to Elementary Teacher at Cedar Bluff School.

Those in attendance during Friday’s Special Called Meeting included Suzanne Bishop, Corey Colbert and Kathy Mobbs along with Superintendent Mitchell Guice.

The next meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education is scheduled for Tuesday June 27th at 6:00pm in the Central Board Office on East Main Street in Centre.

That meeting is open to the public.
