Cherokee County Deputies Recover Stolen Motorcycle

On Tuesday of this week, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies recovered a motorcycle which had been stolen out of neighboring Floyd County, Georgia.

Corporal Nick Vaughn and Deputy John Sentell had attempted to stop that motorcycle along Highway 68, but the driver refused to pull over, and fled.

When they reached Hilltop Drive, the suspect abandoned the bike and ran.

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, deputies were able to identify the suspect and warrants are expected to be issued for Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree and Attempting to Elude.

The stolen motorcycle was towed to the Sheriff’s Office impound lot and will be returned to the rightful owner.
