Cherokee County High School Baseball third-inning burst enough to top Gaylesville Trojans, 11-1

The Cherokee County High School Baseball team beat the Gaylesville Trojans 11-1 in five innings on Saturday at Cedar Bluff after a six-run explosion in the third inning.

Cherokee County High School Baseball scored in the third on a two-run triple by Bronson Chandler, an error, an RBI single by Logan Green, an RBI single by Zack Abernathy, and an RBI single by Zae Wright.

Chandler racked up four RBIs on two hits for Cherokee County High School Baseball.

Green was in control on the rubber. Gaylesville Trojans managed just one hit off of Green, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his three innings of work.

Stalker took the loss for Gaylesville Trojans. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked none and struck out one.

Cherokee County High School Baseball increased its lead with five runs in the fourth. Chandler kicked things off with a double, scoring Jy Lockridge andChristian Stinson. That was followed up by Dalton Spears‘s single, plating Chandler.

Sand Rock Wildcats fall 8-2 at the hands of Cherokee County High School Baseball

Cherokee County High School Baseball beat the Sand Rock Wildcats on Wednesday 8-2 at Cedar Bluff High School in seven innings.

Cherokee County High School Baseball scored three runs in the third on Cherokee County High School Baseball scored in the third on an RBI double by Jy Lockridge, an RBI single by Caleb Ransum, and a steal of home by Lockridge.

Lockridge had two extra-base hits for Cherokee County High School Baseball.

Preston Grimes racked up 10 strikeouts in the Cherokee County High School Baseball win. Grimes allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over seven innings.

Ransum, Lockridge and Riley Miller helped lead Cherokee County High School Baseball. They combined for seven hits and four RBIs.

Perry Stevens was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked none and struck out eight.

Cherokee County High School Baseball stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring one run on an error.

Cherokee County High School Baseball brought home two runs in the sixth inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the sixth, Cherokee County High School Baseball scored on an RBI double by Lockridge, bringing home Colin Edwards.
