The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, ATF and U.S. Marshals Team Up for Ellisville Arrests

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Sheriff’s Office Investigators, ATF Agents, and Deputy U.S. Marshals, Thursday, executed warrants on three subjects from the Ellisville community.  Both 49 year old Terry Wright and Eric Lewis, age 50, were taken into custody  at a residence on County Road 14.

Clifford Wright, age 33, was arrested at a location just across the state line, in Floyd County, Georgia.

According to Sheriff Shaver, Terry and Clifford Wright were then taken into federal custody on federal grand jury indictments for being felons in possession of a firearm.

They were arrested last year on drug charges and those cases are still pending.  Meanwhile, Lewis was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on warrants regarding probation violations.

The arrests came about as the result of a lengthy investigation, conducted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the ATF.
