Cherokee County Students May Be Eligible For Agriculture Scholarships

Ag 3The state of Alabama has been chosen by Monsanto to pilot the Grow Ag Leaders Program, with Cherokee County being one of 13 counties in the state to be eligible for student scholarships.

Plans are to award eight scholarships totaling $12,000 across the state.

Monsanto and the National FFA Scholarship Program have teamed up to work on getting student groups excited about careers in agriculture by offering opportunities to earn a college scholarship in the amount of $1,500.

Eligible students must apply by February 1st, 2014.
