Chicken Truck Crashes Near Gaylesville Early Tuesday Morning / UPDATED

Chicken 2The driver of the chicken truck which went off the roadway during the early morning hours of Tuesday, fortunately escaped injury.

According to the accident report from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency – the driver of the 2008 Mack Truck was 34 year old Matthew McCue of Leesburg.

According to those on the scene, McCue was shaken up, receiving minor cuts and bruises in the mishap after apparently losing control of that big rig just after 4:00am – crashing down an embankment on Highway 68 around a mile east of Gaylesville.

The clean up operation took around 13 hours.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers
