Kevin Winter/Getty Images for BET(NEW YORK) — He’s hosted the Oscars, produced hits TV shows, written a best-selling book, and has a double-handful of Emmys and Grammys on his mantel. So for his next trick, Chris Rock is heading back to where it all started for him: the road.
The comic just announced his Total Blackout tour — 28 dates in 26 cities, beginning February 14 in Durham, NC and running through a June 3 show in Atlantic City, NJ. If Rock’s not stopping in your neighborhood, don’t worry: he’s promised more dates will be announced soon.
News of Rock’s tour comes on the heels of the announcement last October that he’s signed a deal to do two stand-up specials for Netflix, for a reported $40 million payday. The first of those specials is expected this year, so no doubt the tour will provide the footage.
Tickets for the Total Blackout tour go on sale this Friday, December 9 via Live Nation and other ticket outlets. Here are the dates so far:
