The public is invited to attend Cherokee County Conversation 2, a second meeting for input and discussion about Cherokee County’s ClearPlan 2030.

The 6pm session will be held in the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce meeting room in

Building A on the campus of Gadsden State-Cherokee, located at 801 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.

Numerous individuals have recently completed surveys and made suggestions in regard to planning for community improvement for the next 15 years.

Thursday’s meeting will provide time for in-depth discussion of suggestions already made and for additional ideas.

The session is sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, the Cherokee County Industrial Development Authority, the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission, and ClearPlan 2030.

Additional information may be obtained from Thereasa Hulgan or Barbara Cochran at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce office at (256) 927-8455.

ClearPlan 2030 is a project involving citizens in ten east Alabama counties—inlcuding Cherokee, Etowah, Calhoun, Cleburne, Clay, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Coosa, Randolph and Chambers.

Meetings are being held in each of the counties to solicit input and participation in future implementation.
