An Anniston man has been placed under arrest by Heflin Police on several charges of having sex or engaging in deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of 19.
33 year old Bronson Shay Ward is a Cleburne County High School teacher, who also acts as girls varsity basketball coach at the school.
He was arrested Friday and according to the website al.com faces five charges involving students going back as far as 2009.
Ward is currently being held in the Cleburne County Jail on bond of $250,000.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
