Cleveland Browns Fan Wants Parade If the Team Finishes the Season Winless

iStock/Thinkstock(CLEVELAND) — It hasn’t been a great season for the Cleveland Browns, who remain winless this season.  But that doesn’t mean they don’t get a parade.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports Chris McNeil, of Granville, Ohio, has created a Facebook page asking the city to throw a parade if the Browns finish the season 0-16, losing every game.

McNeil has been actively tweeting about the Browns and created an online sign-up sheet for people who wish to participate in the parade, penciled in for Jan. 7.  He’s even paid the $25 application fee for a parade permit.

“You’re not supposed to celebrate the Browns playing like crap, but I’m trying to put a positive spin on this season,” he said. “This is not just some troll on Twitter. There will be a parade.”

Peter John-Baptiste, Browns vice president of communications, said, “We have a great appreciation for all our fans especially when it comes to their passion and creativity. Our intent and hope is that we will be planning a parade to celebrate success with our fans at some point in the near future.”

The Browns are currently 0-10, the worst standing in the NFL. They’ll face the Pittsburgh Steelers Nov. 20.
