Collinsville Man Caught Driving Stolen Truck in Traffic Stop; Also Has Warrants in Cherokee County

And you thought you were havin’ a bad day.

A 56 year old Collinsville man was pulled over on a routine traffic stop that turned out to be a big problem for him, seeing as how the truck that he was driving was stolen – and he was wanted in three different jurisdictions, including Cherokee County.

According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin Joie Lana Gowens was charged with one count of First Degree Receiving Stolen Property (motor vehicle) – the tag on the stolen Ford Ranger had also been switched.

He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center with bond set at $5,000.

He is also wanted for warrants by Piedmont Police and Baldwin County authorities.
