Counterfeit Money Showing Up in Chattooga County

Funny Money has once again shown up in neighboring Chattooga County, Georgia.

According to law enforcement officials, the bogus bills made an unwelcome return recently, with a woman bringing a counterfeit $10.00 bill to the sheriff’s office stating that she had received the bill when she was given change at Little Caesar’s Pizza in Summerville.

Prior to that a cashier at Mr. C’s Convenience Store on Highway 27 in Summerville reported that a clerk there had taken in a phony five ($5.00).

Investigators are currently following up on several leads in that case.
