Anniston Police are currently investigating the death of a five year old boy who died on Friday in a Birmingham hospital.
According to the Anniston Star – police officers responded to an emergency call that afternoon at Wilmer Avenue, however no additional information was made available.
The child was first carried to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, and then transferred to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham where he died. Anniston Police Sergeant Chris Sparks wouldn’t discuss the circumstances which led to the child’s death – saying only that the case is under investigation and the name of the child and cause of death would be released following an autopsy, possibly as early as today (Monday, July 29th).
