A traffic stop occurring late last week in DeKalb County led to the arrest of a Crossville woman on drug charges; while patrolling the tornado damaged areas along County Roads 4 and 25 in the Aroney area – Deputy Kody Oliver pulled over a pickup truck being driven by 35 year old Buffy Denise Rogers.
Oliver, who is one of the K-9 Deputies for the Sheriff’s Office, conducted a consent search using one of the department’s drug dogs and the dog alerted to the driver’s side door – which led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Rogers was arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.
She currently remains in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting setting of bond.
